Art Class Memories

I remember my first day of college like it was just yesterday. As a student of the Art Institute of Seattle, I was eager to dive into my art classes and make friends with my peers. It was a new world I was about to explore; one of artistic imagination and social acceptance, two things that were never associated at my high school. I was confident that this chapter of my life was going to be a fresh start.

On the first day of classes, drawing 101 was my first lesson. I walked into the spacious room filled with easels, stools and lots of windows that filtered in natural sunlight. I sat in the first row and pulled out my art supplies from my backpack. I had arrived about eight minutes early, but I watched the rest of the class file in moments later, they all appeared to express their art through their wardrobe and overall style, but most importantly, they all seemed happy. I knew I was in the right place!
